Hundreds of thousands of patients nationwide have experienced relief from their snoring and sleep apnea symptoms with the guidance of a Qualified Dentist. Many also report experiencing improved overall wellness. Hear from some of those patients about their experiences below.
Sleep apnea can be easy to miss — especially when you don’t fit the “typical” profile. I was active, energetic, and felt healthy, yet I knew something wasn’t right after a heart attack. Even after multiple conversations with providers, sleep apnea wasn’t initially suspected.
I kept asking questions and eventually completed a home sleep apnea test, which revealed moderate to severe sleep apnea. CPAP wasn’t an option I could tolerate, so I turned to oral appliance therapy provided by an AADSM Qualified Dentist. It was comfortable, effective, and fit naturally into my daily routine.
This experience taught me that symptoms can be subtle and that solutions aren’t one-size-fits-all. Sleep apnea was a diagnosis I never would have discovered if I hadn’t spoken up – and oral appliance therapy gave me a treatment I could live with.
In August 2025, I went to Tanzania, Africa to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro. This was a 7-day hiking trip up the mountain, where we had to go slowly to try and acclimate to the rising altitude and where we spent our nights in tents.
I have pretty severe sleep apnea, and I use my CPAP machine religiously. I have gone tent camping before but my max number of days without my machine was 4 nights. So, I was concerned as to how I would be able to make it to the top.
After discussion with my doctor, she sent me to an AADSM Qualified Dentist who developed a mouthpiece designed specifically to fit my teeth and assist with my sleep apnea. This device was a game changer. I was able to get an adequate amount of sleep, which allowed me to complete my journey to the top!
There would be no way I would have been able to climb that mountain without the aid of this device. I can now do more camping/hiking trips without the worry of having to drag along my CPAP machine!
